Zuiko 38mm F2.8 Macro PDF Print E-mail

Zuiko 38mm f2.8 macro lens: This is one of the high magnification lenses made by Olympus. It can be mounted directly onto a camera body, but requires some form of extension to be of any benefit. Two main units were provided by Olympus for this purpose; the 65-116 telescopic tube and a set of very well made auto bellows. I use the former, as I have found it to be fairly robust and very portable. Other extension tubes can be used, such as combinations of the 7, 14 and 25mm variants. However, magnification is more limited.

Zuiko 50mm f1.2 Lens: A superbly sharp and contrasy 'standard' lens, particularly useful in low light conditions due to its large 1.2 maximum aperture. Beautiful images are possible as it demonstrates wonderful soft 'bokeh' when used at larger apertures.

Zuiko 300mm f4.5 Telephoto lens: This is one heck of a lump of glass! Large and heavy, I never use this lens without some kind of support. It has an attachment which allows it to be screwed directly onto a tripod or monopod, taking any strain away from the lens mount.

Zuiko 180mm F2.8 lens: This was one of my later OM Zuiko lens aquisitions. Having used the 135mm focal length for some candid photography, I was very aware that the distance separating me from my subjects was not quite enough.
